Launched at last
David's semi scale model of the Thames Barge "Kitty" was
finally launched in the lake on Sunday April 9th.
The day was ideal, not too much wind, not too much chop.
As she sailed out across the lake she kept her course - straight and true.
Finally it was time to turn her round - no joy - nix - nothing. She would
not answer her controls.
Of course I had forgotten to turn the on board switch on.
Rescue boat to the rescue.
Her second sail was more successful - everything was switched
on and she did everything she was told.
However more attention is required to stop her taking on water through the
casing for her false keel.
